The most unproven coach on the staff was Lane and he had national championship rings as a coordinator
I mean, I suppose it could be a Plan B if Cheney drops dead, which is sadly something you have to consider.
I don't want him to, but there is no way he doesn't weigh 325 pounds. He's 58 to boot. That ain't a good combo.
He's definitely not in good shape. Even before on his first stint here, he was a big dude. It will catch up with him. Just to compare, top one is from around 2011-ish, bottom 2019
Chaney probably one of those that has perfect blood work every time he goes in and people like me that are 195 lbs have high cholesterol.
I mean, shit, he's been an OC for 4 years. 1st year with Memphis State, then 3 with ND. His national rankings were: PPG: 15, 24, 41, 14 TYPG: 28, 27, 32, 43 Had the two highest scoring offenses and two of the top 4 best gaining offenses in Brian Kelly's tenure at ND. It's a hell of a hire, and you have to wonder if BK is bad mouthing him to the point where he had to settle for an analyst job. Which, if I'm Long, I'm just glad he didn't kill me like he did that camera guy. Kelly is a total piece of shit.
Yeah trying to get down to 185. Doc just said stay under 200. Bout a year ago I went in and weighed 190, had been working out and eating fairly healthy and he told me my cholesterol was in the 80th percentile chance of having a heart attack. Had to cut back on red meat and ice cream.
