Except Trump is actually being investigated for illegal activity. He won't see charges, but he is actually being investigated.
Don't recall anything about judicial process with the "lock her up!" crowd. It was never even stated what crime she committed. Want to browse around Parler and see if there are any differences from twitter?
Where were the evil libs or BLM crowds at my polling place, driving in circles in priuses and waving flags other than the American one? I only saw the so-called conservatives carrying on like that. If both sides are the same, I must have just missed it.
A lot of Trump's problems are not on the Federal level, though, and a Presidential pardon won't do much for that. However, for anything that might show up later at a Federal level, I wouldn't put it past him to pardon himself.
I recall also reading that there is uncertainty about whether you are covered by a pardon if it isn't clear what you are being pardoned for. I.e., if you received a pardon, it wouldn't mean you are pardoned for anything you ever did but rather pardoned for the thing you were pardoned for. So a pre-emptive pardon would need to specify what is being pardoned. At least, I would think so, but I could be wrong. And if so, that's silly. A pardon should be specific.
If he self pardons, which I don't think he'll do, Federal would be off the table. No President will ever see jail time. So, all charges are moot, really, any way.
Which I find shameful, especially if it wasn't done as part of the office. No man should be above the law.
