I think a little bit. This is a top 15-20 ish team that got inflated to a top 5 ranking by racking up wins against LSU and Florida teams that aren’t as good as initially believed to be. It’s still a good team that could get to a super regional with the right regional matchup, but I don’t think there’s quite enough thunder in the batting order to get to Omaha. Beats the hell out of sweating making Hoover though, as we did most of the decade before Vitello.
Rocker and Leiter are going in the top 3 next draft. Tonight and tomorrow were always going to be difficult. I think Spence is a bit banged up right now, and we missed his glove tonight.
