Four-hour drive is going to be the closest I’ve been to a Tennessee football game in three seasons. Still probably a bit much, given that the siblings that I’m visiting aren’t huge football fans.
Not amazing news, but still a nice cap on a good season. And we have a real chance of winning convincingly against Purdue. Obviously, what they did to Sparty and Iowa can’t be ignored, they can beat us if they’re firing on all cylinders, but they also…didn’t do that most of the year.
I’m not going to complain about what bowl game we’re in since ultimately it doesn’t really matter outside of the playoff but we’d have been a better draw for either the Citrus or the Outback than UK or Arky… there will be plenty of Orange in the stands in Nashville for sure but there would have been just as much in Orlando or Tampa.
If the weather is good, it'll be an energetic day downtown. Hotel cost may keep some away. I may offer my basement up for a couple bottles of wine.
I bet Kentucky sells out their allotment. Biggest bowl game destination in the last 50 years for them? They have a very loyal following for having a program of their crapiness.
