This hurts y’all. Not gonna lie. As someone turning 30 this football season, tonight serves as a harsh reminder as to how much Florida owns our Tennessee football souls
Yeah, Heupel’s system has been great for a number of QBs. He’s just got one who can’t be managed into serviceability.
We have been sleep walking through the first half every game this year. Turns out that matters when you're not playing an FCS team
Yeah, this is a Kelly Bryant/Trevor Lawrence situation. We need to get Nico out there sooner rather than later and hope he lives up to the hype.
Florida could have just kneeled instead of taking a timeout after 2nd down and padding Etienne's stats on 3rd down, and I bet we don't call the timeout. Then there's no way to take 10 seconds doing a QB kneel on 4th down, so IDK why Mertz even tried. The hit was a football play.
People kept saying this, and I’m not really sure I saw it. Etienne had one huge run where he broke two tackles. Apart from that, their running backs were getting two yards. We didn’t get to Mertz all that often, but mostly because he never bothered throwing more than ten yards. Then had a plan to migrate our defensive line and it worked for about a quarter. If our offense hadn’t completely imploded that quarter, maybe it’s a different game. But to me, this isn’t on the front seven.
