yeah, but seems he felt the room, so to speak, and made more sense to him to hand it off to next years team. He won’t be doing any real NFL prep in the next 3 days. He’s just moving aside. Unselfish, as he shows in his career.
Not even a direct line to the Big Guy would be enough to answer that prayer. He will be signed undrafted, I have no doubt, because someone will say "I can fix him". But he will not see a roster, ever. Imho
It’s not normally the guys with freakish arm talent but little natural instinct for the game that hold clipboards.
I just don't understand how there is such a dirth of effective QBs in the league. I know it is a hard position to play, probably toughest in all of sports, but sheesh. But I never played, so I cannot really judge.
You have to be athletic, learn a complex office, be able to read pre-coverage, know what to do with each coverage presented with every play in playbook, and then have to make split second decisions once ball is snapped with physical freaks trying to break every bone in your body. The older I get, the more I am in awe of the cream of the crop pro athletes. We just don't understand how good they really are.
The game is changing/has changed below the NFL and the NFL is slow adapting to it, that’s at least part of it
I saw that this weekend with a QB making his first career start. Looked like a deer in headlights. 4th and 3, the receiver runs a curl rout. He waited until the receiver had completed his curl and was standing waiting on the ball to throw it; giving the defender plenty of time to defend it.
This is going to be Heupel's recruited offense now. Nico, Seldon, Sampson, Webb and Nimrod. I'm excited to see it
I dont know how much of Milton's problem is intelligence vs instinct, but worse players with less physical tools have stuck around for a few years. Never underestimate the stupidity of NFL coaches and GMs especially once they see his arm in person
Not being a turnover machine may help. As bad as people say he was, he still had 4000 yards, 30/5 TD/int in 1.5 seasons as a starter.
If it were all up to GM’s he’d stick around a little while I think. I just think he’ll get into camp and not be able to do a lot of basic things.
