I dunno if it's worth ranking it high or whatever, but I'd be lyin' if I said a burger from Gus's Good Times Deli didn't hit the spot.
Had a burger from the aptly named "Burger Joint" in NYC. First class burger, with no frills. Just south of Central Park fwiw.
Work. It's inside the Le Parker Meridien Hotel. You'd never find it unless you were looking for it. Deliciousness.
Tried the bacon cheeseburger from Sesame in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Good, solid burger. The grilled corn on the cob stole the show. Would recommend if you are ever down here.
I've been on a steamed cheeseburger kick lately. There's lots of imitators of the few original places, and the quality ranges from wonderful to inedible.
when in Fayetteville ,check out kens burgers get a slaw burger,,then go to the Vann town diner and get the Vann town burger....yum
New entry into the great burger contest is the cheeseburger at Port of Call in New Orleans. It tastes as though it's either char-broiled or cooked over charcoal. Delicious and perfect medium hamburger.
