The play-calling at the end of the game was bad.

 

I would hope a guy with wide receiver speed could beat a guy in his 17th season. That said, he didn't beat him for the five yards that mattered most.

Yes, but some of his teammates held on a play in the endzone to prevent the go ahead score. That means that Ray Lewis is a winner. How is that not clear?

 

Who hasn't lately. Davis is a terrible matchup for most linebackers, even more for an old guy who doesn't pass cover very well. There is a reason that threw a lot of zone at SF in the second half.

I'm surprised that they never targeted Davis at the end. Forgot about gore and Davis was a big mistake.

If Kaepernick gets that QB counter off before the play clock/timeout he's walking into the end zone.

Yea, I still think it will be interesting to see if a quarterback can make it through an entire season playing that style. Few seem to be able to keep from getting injured. If he stays healthy, he'll be in the MVP hunt, imo.

Yeah, he isn't Cam. Good running game, skill players and coaching staff, great arm. He has all the intangibles and doesn't appear to get rattled easily. Definitely set up for success.

 

He's got a damn cannon for an arm. They need one more solid WR. A washed up Randy Moss isn't going to do the trick.

 

I'm still amazed at what a great play Patrick Willis made on the fake field goal.
