In all honesty, we aren't going to get anyone better. He's a hell of an offensive coach and he is a man this fan base can support. He's got a [uck fay]in mullet and hunts turtles. Hire this crazy mother[uck fay]er today
They've got you right where they want you. [uck fay] 8 million and a 3 million buyout for Mike [uck fay]ing Gundy. 11 [uck fay]ing million....for the 1st season of Mike Gundy....hahahaha...Better hope he works because he sure as hell ain't going anywhere,
So....it will only cost us $9 million before a game is ever coached.....to hire Mike. Gundy. I feel so much better now.....
I don't think there are very many good guys making decisions at Tennessee. I think it is rotten with power and money hungry assholes who are more committed to maintaining control than winning. I want Tennessee to win, but this is stupid, and I hope all those at the top die off as soon as possible. Harsh? Maybe, but it appears nothing else is going to force a change.
Fun fact: he was Thurman Thomas's and Barry Sanders's QB. His senior year without either of them, they went 4-7.
He's a better coach than butch - there is THAT. But his record will be about the same given that the east will soon not be the worst division in p5 football.
There is nothing about the lineup of coaches in the SEC east that intimidates me. Mullen and Smart are above average at best. Gundy is no messiah, but he can routinely compete with those guys.
I disagree with you on Smart. Huge fan of his. Mullen, maybe. I'll have to see what he does with much better talent. I tend to think he will be better than Gundy too but you have an argument.
Mullen is taking the same staff with him and he is not a good recruiter. This will not end well for Florida.
After the way things have played out, I think we'd be getting about as good of a coach as we could hope for in Gundy. Ask yourself this: If Gundy says no, who are we calling next? It's a scary thought.
