He gameplanned and called entire game last night according to everyone associated with USC. Including fourth down roll-out.

 

You would have thought Gruden called that last play. Looked awful similar to a spider 2 Y banana.

 

I believe it was very similar.

 

IMO, JMHO:

1. Haslam is gone. Gone, gone. Direct refutation & exile.

2. The admin is not only aboard, but fully, and thanks to this fan base for having legit scared the shit out of them in a way that I never imagined was possible (Bev was basically begging for her job yesterday, IMO). Prior to this, they were much more afraid of the academic side / faculty, and the fans were an afterthought, but that's all gone now.

3. Fulmer has been named AD. He's not going to be like previous AD's and allow shit like titles and control to automatically kill any coach who asks for it. And both he and his wife are friends with Jon and Cindy and have been working on them for weeks.

4. The boosters have been aboard and have also seen how irate / rowdy this fan base is

5. We have more money that Solomon.

6. The roster has some legit talent and isn't a complete shit show.

7. The SECE is still down and not an immediate slaughterhouse as it has been in years past.

8. This fan base and most VFL's (those not pushing for Tee....which is stupid) are legit pissed off, fed up, dialed in, rowdy, paying attention, and are finally united in desiring & demanding an elite coach / ready to denounce any schleps. Everyone is sick of the bumbling incompetence and of losing.

The table could not possibly be more set than it now is, nor will it ever be.

If we don't land Jon Gruden this time, it will be because he just doesn't want to coach in college, and that it will never, ever happen, no matter what.

If he takes any college job, it will be this one, and right now.

IMO, JMHO.

Agree, the table is now perfectly set for Gruden if he's interested. What a [uck fay]ing incredible story line it would. Jon will have worked for both Johnny and Phil and is friends with both. All three of them could come out of this as hero's. If Jon likes his ego stroked, I can't think of a better scenario for him. He would also seem very wisa by waiting quietly for the shit storm to settle.
