Who was he keeping off the field on offense (that's still here)? Seemed like more of a defensive problem with playing bums over guys with talent, but maybe I'm forgetting someone.
I think they thought they had it in the bag and wanted to try and get Crompton to improve. Backfired.
I don't think the Butch factor can be overestimated. That o line may well go from questionable to special on game 1. And that will change the whole face of the offense
I hope so, but they have no depth. Concerned about RB past our #1, too. I feel like our WRs are good enough, but QB situation is probably worst in the conference.
Callaway was rotated on and off the field every three snaps. Until Kelly was busted for pot, how many snaps did Ty Chandler get? Tyler Byrd, who's now a CB, but where was he last year? LaTrell Bumphus is supposedly the best pass catching TE on the roster, where was he?
The biggest is his timing in the pocket. He is amazingly unaware of his surroundings. He's got the arm and he's a decent runner though.
I really can't believe we have seen the potential of any player on the roster with gomer pyle coaching them previously
Starting line up guess QB-Guarantano RB-Chandler WR-Jennings WR-Callaway WR-Johnson TE-Wood-Anderson OT-Richmond OG-Smith C-Johnson OG-Locklear OT-Tatum DE-Kongbo DT-Tuttle DE-Phillips OLB-Taylor ILB-Kirkland Jr ILB-Bituli OLB-Peterson CB-Shamburger CB-Osborne S-Abernathy S-Warrior That’s not a bad roster. Not very deep but we should be able to pull off some upsets. WVU doesn’t scare me.
Early in the season, he was being set up to fail to solidify dormady. Then when they needed him, he wasn't prepared even by their shoddy standards. I view him as a new starter with a clean slate. I hope he can get coached up and perform. He does have an arm and some wheels, and he does want to win.
