Surely Fulmer knows that his own OC misadventures had a hand (not the only thing) in his ouster and he's coached Pruitt on the importance.... Surely he's given insight, right?
No way Propst comes in as OC. I could see him eventually on staff as a position coach but probably not this season
If it were almost any other program I’d agree but it’s like we look around, decide which is the WORST possible course of action and say, “let’s do that!”....
Might be true, but at this point, I’m not sure anyone in the media has any clue what the [uck fay] they’re talking about.
Well... if he’s concentrating on recruiting/EE’s then I get that. If it means we end up with Rush Propst because he spent ALL his energy on recruiting/EE’s then there’s going to be a problem. Dude makes a shitpot of cash to do the ENTIRETY of his job, not just the parts he likes to do.
He was probably only tangentially on the board anyway, but cross off Drinkwitz. He is the new HC at App State.
I don't get the sense he is scrambling to get this done. He's either clueless and this is on the way to blowing up or he's out recruiting because the work is done.
He's not clueless. There have to be many folks on the inside who are in his ear on this hire to be clueless. If I had to bet, I would say it is the latter.
I wanted them to announce the hire two weeks ago, but I’ve still not heard a compelling argument for why they should have already announced it. If you got Bailey’s commit without an OC, it’s hard to argue that it’s hurting us in ‘cruiting, and which is all that matters, right now, IMO. I’m anxious to hear, too, for sure.
