By rule, no. By NFL officiating, absolutely.

They could have said he lost possession, but that would be a stretch IMO

The second one wasn't. Ball clearly touched the ground. Refs did their best for the Patriots on that drive.

Touching the ground doesn’t disqualify it from being a catch

TD! Helluva drive by the refs there.

The ball moved several inches when he hit turf, stopping its motion when the ball itself hit the ground. Not sure in what universe that’s not a drop.

Ball can touch as long as you have control.

He didn't lose possession because he managed to pin the ball between himself and the ground.

If there was enough evidence to overturn the muffed punt, there was more than enough evidence to overturn the catch.

    When did he have control?

It moved between his arm and his shoulder to where he was holding the point of it, then the other end touched the ground. The ground didn’t push the ball up into his body, which is probably what you would need to overturn it

On the punt, there was a camera angle clearing literally every part of his body that could have touched it. You can’t have much more evidence than that.

The ball moves, the you don’t have control. It then touched the ground immediately after. Not a catch.

It fell into the wasnt overturning one way or the other.
