I totally understand. but I think that they were in the last two weeks of a season in which two top 15 teams were knocked off while coming off of 4 win season suggests the team was just out of gas. think about that: 40% of last year's wins cam against top 15 teams. There is reason to believe another year under Pruitt will translate to more consistency. wait until the depth chart comes out. the physical changes will be apparent, I think. not "looks like," but actual increase in mass.
Pruitt took the blame for the team running out of gas, said he was pissed and worked then too hard those last few weeks.
I would be pissed at them too, half looked like they didn't care. I think in Pruitt's most secret dreams, he was 1 foot away from telling 80% of the team to gtfo and going up into the student section and saying "You, you and you! Suit up!"
I agree, but he's a first time HC learning on the job, dealing with a team that didn't have a structured S&C program for two years that was coached by a flute playing band nerd prior to his arrival
We are starting the year with 3 wins in our pocket - GA St, UAB, and Chattanooga. BYU should be a win. Should be able to split the rest for at least 8 Wins and a possible 9th in a Bowl.
50% chance of 5 wins. 40% chance of 6 wins. 9% chance of 7 wins. 1% chance of 8 wins. 0.0% chance of 9 wins. Regular season, that is.
Georgia State UAB BYU Chattanooga Kentucky Vanderbilt South Carolina Mississippi State The first six are pretty much locks. The last two are the most critical games of the season. I’m fairly confident that UT gets at least a split, which would get them to seven wins. I’m optimistic that they get both and end up 8-4.
There’s a decent chance we lose to BYU, and at least a puncher’s chance we lose to UAB. We’ve lost to Vandy 5 of 6 years. What’s different, specifically? We can’t beat Muschamp, and his roster is much better. We lose to USC. Miss St. is better, even with a new QB and at Neyland. Bob Shoop got his magic back in Starkville, and that offense is going to give us fits. We’ll lose to MSU.
