Looks like will soon exclusively be on ABC\ESPN. https://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/SB-Blogs/Breaking-News/2019/12/SEC.aspx
Because that’s the only thing I looked at while cutting the cord. I have YouTube tv just for ball games and the local news.
Me neither. Which is why I think they have to start putting that type of stuff on it. Cause I don’t know anybody who has it.
I have it. For 5 bucks a month, I've watched a couple of early season UT games and a game here and there not available anywhere else. If it was $15, I wouldn't even bother. I'd say I get about 5 bucks worth of it a month.
There always seems to be tension between ESPN and the broadcast carriers. The more content they have, the more content they can demand. My guess would be they are going to make a move toward being able to say pay us or we'll just stream it. That'll anger some folks, but they'll still do what they have to for the programming.
I get some games I otherwise wouldn't. Some UFC stuff on there I have watched. Wife had Hulu...now for just the price of what Hulu was costing us, you can get the Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ bundle
CBS played a major role in creating the SEC brand and how we understand SEC “speed” and it “just means more” and all that. When they won rights to SEC games, the Big Ten was still the bell cow of NCAA football. CBS helped to change that narrative. The conference will benefit from the money but we will miss the attention of CBS game of the week.
