So can we bring Pat Forde in to testify against the NCAA and possibly get one or the other for purgery? Or both?
Oh I agree. I’m just thinking of ways we can [uck fay] him. He either loses his source or lies under oath. Either way he’s [uck fay]ed.
Quick google search says yes and that in only certain situations can they be forced to reveal sources.
But it would still be cool to see Forde squirm and SI would have waste legal resource on his azz. "Hey, boss. That AI replacing him is looking pretty good right now."
So EA Sports released a little teaser trailer for the new CFB video game. It’s going to be called “College Football 25.” Not “NCAA Football 25.” Thought that was interesting.
Yes, think this was discussed when they first starting development but they were able to secure all the branding rights via another group and go around the NCAA. Can’t recall what it was.
I feel like time in this ruling plays in Tennessee’s favor. I could be wrong. Usually am. But the longer this takes to get a decision, I think it favors the plaintiff.
They shouldn't have demanded a dollar amount before they gave their permission to use the NCAA logo and name.
I suspect the judge is being very careful and taking his time drafting the ruling no matter which way he rules. He more or less warned the NCAA after the TRO, they were [uck fay]ed relative to the main suit of anti-trust. Which could be viewed as an injunction without an injunction. Of course the NCAA is not known for being real smart.
Thought process? I’m not much of a thinkin’ man. Certainly not one sophisticated enough to have a process. But the TRO was denied instantly. Not that it was surprising, but the decision was made without hesitation in favor of the defense. The NCAA not winning a swift decision here, it just seems like we’ve clearly presented a much stronger case in this stage, requiring far more deliberation.
