I would comment on all this, but I’m scared it won’t meet Smiff’s approval.

 

Yeah I still think there’s a decent chance they get Bama down there though

 

We get the next two and they get Bama and we’d clinch an outright title before the last game tips. Obviously tonight is the toughest domino there.

 

I feel not confident about either of the next 2.

 

Am wearing my orange "52-49 We whipped your azz" T-shirt under my lightweight VOLS OHT hoodie over to our son's for a burgers and beer watch party.

After over 60 yrs of Vols, I've learned my attire has no bearing on the outcome. But it makes me feel better when we win.

 

Fortunately, we have an event tonight so I cannot watch the game live. I do not anticipate a win, but watching would twist me in knots. A win tonight would be ice cream, and this team has the ability to take it.

 

I was gonna "like" this, but it has the "I do not anticipate ..." qualifier.

I finally got over the "knots" feeling. I'm not sure when or if I've just convinced myself I don't.

I have found for me, I am better served if I go into every competition with the "Expect to win" thoughts. I figured since I prefer the Vols actually playing to have that mindset, then I should too. I just remember that when they lose, they feel worse than me.

The South Carolina game immediately following this one worries me a bit. Tonight is going to take a lot out of us either way

 

Hard to beat a team twice. Hope it’s a good game. Haven’t checked but we should be dogs tonight.
