Price doubled down and made it sound like it could happen any day now. As I have mentioned around here previously, I know a former Vol that swears this kid has future probability at RB and named off some RBs he played with/against that were impressive. Plus he fits the mold of that “Alabama Style” hammer. Maybe he is great at LB, but he was the only back we brought in last year and the only back that we appear to be really good with right now in recruiting is the Gray kid out of Memphis. He is a different style back and I believe their are question marks with him on how good he will be in the SEC.
You cant rely on giving Banks the ball these last few games unfortunately. He fumbles in practice and games. I guarantee they even got on him for letting the onside kick squirt out, even though it didnt count and he was down. If he can help the team and get on the field, why not. Or stay 4th string rb and just play STs.
Hopefully we hang onto Lakia Henry, maybe add Pappoe, and we can leave Banks at RB and make sure he figures out ball security.
The one thing from Foster that I wish I could give all our backs is vision. You can keep the rest though.
[uck fay] him. He had one of the best games a Tennessee player has ever had against Vandy in 2005. After that, he was a soft lazy ass hole
Had he worked his way into the 2 deep they dont move him IMO. I think they wanted him to separate himself by now but realize he could be a really good LB. His ball security is still an issue. If he cant hold on to it maybe he has a knack for separating it from the opposition. Maybe signs that they feel good about snagging another top RB as well. Memphis kid maybe?
Banks was never gonna see the field with Clausen in place. Hopefully he can compliment Tony Brown next season.
I really liked Banks future at RB but he definitely could bring some aggression to defense. RB is a huge need in this class.
They seem to be confident they can flip Gray? I'm wondering if they think it's easier to try this now knowing that.
