I don’t know about the math on the numbers. But I have no doubt that there are Somali immigrant citizens voting in the district.

 

Quick check says there are 700,000 people in that district.

Suddenly my feed has had a lot of Warren advertisements.

I haven’t independently verified these numbers but this article suggests that Obama ‘settled’ less than 7,000 Somali refugees in Minnesota during his tenure.

That’s less than 1% of the 5th district if they all went there.

The 74,000 number is apparently total Somali / Somali descent living in the district (who have come over a long period).
