Hated school pizza. Thought, and still think, it's gross.

I just ate the little cubed pepperoni pieces. school pizza was a little soggy, but my already fried spam sandwich often didn't make it to lunch. That sucker could grease thru a straight jacket

If you write in “Jesus” on a ballot, it goes to the Republican - we count those.

Good thing the GOP and fox news weren't around in Jesus' day. King Harrod would have killed him before he even had facial hair.

I've never understood why so many people loved school pizza. Has baffled me for 30+ years.

Younger Evangelicals, esp those with college education, are not nearly as die hard GOP as their parents.

All Democrats really have to do is come way back to middle on abortion, and they could easily pick up a nice size voting block.

That's a good question, and I'm not sure of my answer off the top of my head. I think it would be like porn, I'd know it when I saw it.

I wasn’t asked, but I’d like to comment. I don’t think it’s anything specifically related to evangelicals but people that are seeking moderation over extremes.

In general, I believe people want to be allowed to respectfully disagree, and hold to their own beliefs and principles. In relation to evangelicals, it would be faith.

If we were to line up all the major political issues at play in our world, whether it be refugees, marriage equality, abortion, healthcare, you would find that the Bible advocates liberal and conservative, points of view depending on which issue you pick.

Like Card said, it’s a different generation of evangelicals growing up.

Stop suggesting quick fixes that will involve spending someone else’s money, and particularly on shit that’s most likely to only make the problems worse, or create entirely new and worse ones.

Respect the Constitution and the law, and where you don’t like either, work to change it to something more appropriate and timely, instead of simply ignoring or selectively enforcing it. If you can’t convince enough people to support your desire to change them, realize, admit and alter the shitty arguments / approach that you’ve been using, and which have failed you, instead of just blaming its failure on everyone else’s stupidity. That changing laws and the Constitution are hard, and require a massive effort in consensus-building isn’t any suitable excuse - it’s the way it is because that’s how it was intended, and most want it.

Practice the same diversity and inclusion that you also demand in thought, speech, assembly, ideas, participation, acceptance, discussion and debate. Even when you disagree and hate it. Best, particularly where you disagree and hate it.

Demand a free, independent, unblinking and unwavering press, understanding its fundamental importance to our healthy democracy, and hold it accountable to that standard, in all cases.

Stop demonizing those with whom you disagree with with the same lazy-assed and mostly bullshit arguments which almost always requires them to be crazy / dumb / racist / sexist / xenophobic / transphobic / homophobic, etc. A constant making groups of “us” and “them” are completely antithetical to those who claim to value “inclusivity” and “diversity”. Either admit you believe in and want those things for everyone, or not - but pick one, and drop the other.

Where people actually are being one of those things, or just genuinely are ignorant of pertinent facts that you possess, help them to understand what it is, why it’s important and try to help them change or just see it differently, and without calling them Hitler / Nazis / KKK / White Nationalists / Skinheads / Gang Rapists, etc.

Don’t stop trying to make America better, demanding that it live up to its ideals. Liberals are largely the necessary and invaluable conscience of the nation, and should continue to be. But be as quick to admit the many and good things that we get right, too, or even when we want to get it right, but have fallen short. Stop trying to make me hate my country, to believe that the infinitesimally small bad outweighs the overwhelmingly greater good, that we are little more than a collective group on one side of an imaginary line, no different or sometimes better than any other group elsewhere, or that we shouldn’t believe and feel the greatest pride in America, and being Americans.

Otherwise, just be generally less than something that seems to be, and often is, just absolutely [uck fay]ing crazy.

Either Party could rule for 10,000 years, if they just did these things, or at least made an earnest effort to achieve them.
