Virginia Tech and Buzz Williams just beat Virginia. VT has already matched their ACC win total from last year.

I was sitting at Clancy's watching the game and thinking exactly the same thing. That one was a thing of beauty.

 

On the subject of coaches UT missed out on,

Apparently Coach K was interested when we hired Devoe back in 78? Older friend of mine who knows his local sports informed me of this.

 

I don't know what's up with Sakerlina tonight, but they're actually hitting 3's.

 

Well ,when you play Auburn a lot of open shots usually occur in abundance. SC is going to be a tough out in March.

 

You got that right. I can't even stand to watch Auburn the defense is so bad.

 

I figured it had more to do with who we were playing. I just kept thinking we would blow it.

I was just pleased that we hit some shots. And we didn't fold in the last five minutes. We actually closed the game out. That was nice to see.

I'll give Frank Martin credit. I felt like his hire at Kansas State was just to salvage a recruiting class. It didn't take me long to realize what he's all about. He's easily one of my five favorite college basketball coaches.

 

Would love to have him, but we're more the type to hire his predecessor.

 

Good friend of mine that lettered 4 years at SC in the 90s said hes the type that if you hang around you are mentally strong.
