http://magazine.good.is/articles/organize-fight-win?upw A rant from a paramedic who already makes 15 dollars an hour is getting a lot of attention.
does the person doing the rant not realize that if you increase minimum wage that in return that the cost of living goes up?
Here's something from the real world. If I were forced to pay my workers $15.00 starting tomorrow, then today would be their last day working for me.
I could print you some clean'ens, but I don't really want to be pulling hard time in the local "Pain-uh-tentury". And by the way, if I can stay in business until December, I will have this place paid for. Many years of hard work put in, and I'm not sure how much the place will be worth. That's "small business" for you, the next step down is "out of business". But I will have the deed for it.
Aren't the very people who protested and got the $15 minimum wage asking to cut back hours to remain eligible for federal assistance?
Times have been hard. I'm hoping to get the level up to where we don't need the ladder, up to floor level.
