I don't know that he's actually any good. Maybe just really athletic, but not all that skilled when it comes to football. I'd try him in the return game.
I tend to agree but if we go 5-7 it changes my feelings quite a bit on whether Pruitt can take us where we want to go. Year 2 would almost certainly have to be 10 wins for me to change my mind. Having said all that, if he's worth anything at all as a coach, 7 wins in year 1 isn't asking too much imo.
I don't even care about W-L anymore. Just give me entertainment. Coaching mental breakdowns, amazing coach searches, lampooned ADs. I've got two kids now, I don't have time for the emotional investment of a good football team. But a laughing stock is easy to invest in.
I have lived in disappointment since Kiffin left. Seven wins, and I would begin climbing out of that deep dark hole of disappointment.
This is where ive been. I dont get as angry as i used to. Maybe some apathy, but more of life going on and game means nothing, except entertainment for me. I want to see good, gutsy football and be entertained. Wins should come if so. Factors like a big injury or couple of bs plays could make a 6-6 year look like a failure to some, but its deeper than the record right now imo.
