Matt Campbell, who should have been hired the last time, will win a national title in the near future. Neal Brown, Scott Satterfield, Luke Fickell and Bill Clark are also names to watch. Leach would be/have been interesting, but doubtful that he would be able to elevate the program to a perennial championship contender.
Who is Campbell winning a national title with? I like Satterfield and Clark. Brown is having a rough go at cleaning up Holgorsen's mess, but he's a good coach.
Campbell will win a national title with the next program that hires him. Obviously he’s not going to win one in Aimes. I agree with Brown, it’ll take him three years to get that cranked up. There’s a reason Holgorsen bolted when he did.
Once Saban goes away, it's not that far fetched. First tier is Dabo. After that, it's just a mash-up of guys that haven't gotten over the hump, up and comers, and unproven guys. Either Dabo raw dogs everyone for several years after Saban retires or there are going to be coaches getting titles that aren't considered elite right now.
Dabo and Lincoln Riley will rule college football for a while. Kirby will be right behind just based on the talent he gets.
I’d take Matt Campbell. Hell, there are only four active head coaches with a NC and one of them is Mack Brown.
Ive actually been looking for Jerry to throw the kitchen sink at Dabo. Just seems like a Jerry Jones thing to do.
