the damage to civility from the past few cycles is profound. I remember when "it's the economy, stupid" was noteworthy
Not to Trump, and you can't convince him otherwise. I think Joe would understand if it wasn't highly viewed, that it wasn't an indictment on him. Trump would take it personally.
It's been very cringey. Biden hasn't said much, but I don't think he has to. Trump has missed a number of opportunities to capitalize. I had to walk away though. It was making my head hurt. They need a mute button.
I think Biden probably helped himself with independents by saying things like how he is not in favor of the green new deal.
what do you think of the president telling a white supremacist group to "stand back and stand by?" what does he mean by stand by?
I'm always shocked that people are undecided at this point in the election cycle and would allow a highly scripted debate to sway them one way or another.
Regardless, how hard is it to answer "yes" to the question "do you denounce white supremacy and white supremacists groups"?
I think Trump saying "yes I denounce white supremacy and the Proud Boys" would be a bit harder for them to misinterpret than "stand back and stand by"
And again, even if he said "sure" and I'll have to go to the tape on that, he always has to qualify it. Saying white supremacy is bad ain't hard Donald. Just [uck fay]ing do it
That was a bit confusing. We are talking about people that believe in white supremacy so no telling what they can actually understand.
