Were there star rankings like that in the 90's? Surely not in the 70's... It could be true, but not be as meaningful as it seems?

 

No idea really. But looking at grant, admiral, bone, Keon, Springer being drafted in last 2-3 seasons, Punter killing it overseas, you can see why some guys who want NBA want to get into the development system. Issue is, for example in March outside of the lucky Purdue bs, is Barnes player development more apt for NBA game vs college game.

 

That he is turning college players into professional players at a high rate is undeniable.

 

Forgot about Pons. He should go round 2 next draft. Is that gonna be more draft picks over 3 years than we had total in previous 30?

 

Keon, Chandler, and BHH are all Tennesseans. Springer played for Bobby Maze. Aidoo is from western NC. Helps to have good basketball being played in and near the state.

 

Tennessee has always been a pretty good basketball state

They definitely should’ve included JP and Jajuan, but there’s no way UT is going to give recognition to a player who was kicked off the team, which Tyler Smith was.

 

That just reminded me how mad I still am at Tyler. He legitimately may have cost us a national title by getting his dumb ass kicked off the team.
