I have no idea what this means. Explain it to me like I'm 10.

I think I take more joy in Vandy losing in baseball than any other opponent sport. Just straight up internal joy.

LSU is horrible on Sunday and offense has been held down so far by LSU. Do we explode today?

Pretty pathetic showing of a season for a defending national champion.

30-6 and 10-5 in conference. Not bad for a team whose weekend pitching rotation still concerns me.

I’m not envious of anybody pitching in the SEC this year.

Definitely a hitters year. There is a lot guys in the conference that can smack the ball.

The good news is that our defense is drastically improved.

Burke looks like an entirely different baseball player on defense this year. Aside from his offense (which we always knew was there if he could sort out pitch selection) I’ve been most impressed with that aspect of his game. He catches almost everything, he’s fielding the ball well and his decision making has been excellent. Great example of this was the DP he made over the weekend - fielded the grounder, tap first and made a perfect throw to second for the tag. If we didn’t have so much other offense that kinda cancels him out, he’d be in the running for POY. He’s making himself A LOT of money this year.

CMO is still going to CMO occasionally but he doesn’t give me near the heartburn he did last year. The knock on Amick was his fielding, but I haven’t seen it. Curley, Antigua and Bargo have all been in and out of the left side of the infield at various points with little to no drop off among them.

I still think Ensley will come good at the plate but he’s in there right now because of his defense.

Tears has a [uck fay]ing howitzer of an arm and is incredibly accurate with it. It might be just because we sit down the 1B and I see him use it a lot, but it’s [uck fay]ing electric. He’s made some real nice plays with his glove too. And Dreiling is Dreiling - very reliable.

Very rarely does the "swinging for the fences" at bat actually work out.

    But it did there.

Yeah it takes away opportunities to get players innings and ABs that wouldn’t otherwise get them
