2024 Vols Baseball

With the way sec teams are hitting this year, I guess at some point they just take the outs to end the game.

 

We still have some issues with base running at times but that also looks improved over last year.

 

Chuck got him a dinger out of it so I am happy.

 

Sounds like awesome conditions for tonight’s game. Probably perfect weather for Kentucky small ball.

Who had Ensley hitting the first HR in this big park?

 

Enjoyed the guy taking about Ensley while Curley was batting

 

Likely going to need more than 3 to win this.

 

Amick not great at 3B.

 

That was ugly. Had the edge on the road and blew it twice on one play

 

The “runner” was jogging home and we are no where close.

And here I was talking about the defense this week. Oh well, guess that’s how it goes. I expect them to be locked in tomorrow.

Road game against a top five team is always going to be high degree of difficulty but we had that one and let it get away.

 

Can we move Amick to DH?

 

It would break a recruiting promise but I feel like this may need to happen for Tony to get the most possible out of this team. Curley and Antigua together would be an elite left side and wouldn’t sacrifice too much offense. (Ariel is batting just a hair under .300)

 

Well he has given him a fair shot. No idea of what he actually promised. Probably could even have someone else at 3B rather than Curley if they don’t like Antigua’s bat right now.

Too bad the baby face assassin is unavailable.

 

Whatever happened with Denton?

 

Think he just gave up baseball after going undrafted last year. (Adding Amick at his position may have pushed him in this direction a little too.)
