Utah State just running dunk/layup lines on Mizzou

 

Honestly, it’s worse than that. Not counting the title year, his record in the NCAA tournament is 7-8. 2014 they were a 1 seed and lost in the Sweet 16. 2015 they were a 2 seed and lost in the second round. 2016 they made it to the Elite 8 only to blow a double digit lead in the final minutes in the to a vastly inferior Syracuse team. Then getting blown out by Florida and being the first one seed to lose to a 16. He’s a terrific coach, but the way he constructs his rosters and the way they play offense just doesn’t seem translate to being successful in March.

 

Refs in this Missouri game... why even have them?

Mizzou’s survival is directly correlated to the whistle they get. Called for 6 fouls in the first 8 minutes today, 9 in the remaining 32. Their entire identity is to hack and grab to cause TOs and get in transition. They don’t defend, they don’t rebound, and their half court O is completely dependent of Brown, Hodge, and Gholston winning ISO ball.

 

That UVA loss gives Bama a pretty soft path to the E8

 

There was a 20ish minute stretch when Missouri would have called more fouls on themselves in pickup than the refs called. 2 back to back egregious hacks in the paint towards the end of the first, at least one of which would have been Brown's third foul.

 

Arkansas's jerseys (and everyone with the same Nike template) are terrible

This Charleston - San Diego St game has been great.
