Akron comes to town

I love the whole team going over to the band after the game. Is that new or has it been going on for a while?

Seems we say this every year, but it really is now or never. Let's exorcise these [uck fay]ers

 

One thing thats bothers me is how easy our backs go down in shoestring tackles. We seem to never break one.

 

Thought about the exact same thing the other day. I believe it's a very recent phenomenon created from the days when beating any conference team became special. I like it.

I swear if you didn’t know better you’d think the goal is to just get 4 yards. Like we can’t win with 2 but we’re planning on hitting a 50 yard bomb after this 4 yard run for a first down so don’t get carried away kid.

 

Seems like the coaches were trying to work on it.

 

What I saw was hesitancy to go up field until they saw a big whole for a big gain, instead of getting the hard 4 yards. So they get tackled at the ankles while dithering around the LOS.

 

Well, Wright is a track guy playing football and Sampson is a freshman, so it's a learning curve.
