Not to be unpatriotic on Memorial Day, but this is the shittiest of the sliced sandwich cheeses. Amiright or amiright? Or amiright?

I like pretty much all cheeses, but can't remember the last time I requested American.

One doesn't request American cheese, you simply deal with it the best you can when it finds its way to you.

Wearing your ussr shirt while you posted this?

That said, I'm pretty much a cheddar guy.

To me it's ok on burgers but that's it.

I'm somewhat of a cheese philistine, admittedly. I don't really care for a bunch of fancy cheese

All we ever had at the house growing up was American cheese. For a long time I was convinced that I didn't really like cheese. Now I go to town on some sharp cheddar cubes.

American cheese works well for grilled cheese.

Velveeta needs fans too, I guess.

Is it really even cheese? I don't hate it but there's way better out there

If I'm craving bland and flavorless I go American.

Out of sheer curiosity I tried the fried bologna and Velveeta sandwich at Hardee's last fall. Was a very, very bad decision.

Did I stumble upon the Cal message board? What kind of Tennesseans don't like American cheese? It's the backbone of pimento cheese sandwiches, the South's gift to humanity.

honestly, pasteurization of cheese products ruins them. We don't know what cheese is in the USA anymore.

A lot of people swear by raw milk too.
