Powerball jackpot was at 259 million. A winning ticket was purchased today in Tennessee. Anybody here a lot richer now than they were yesterday? I'm calling dibs on one of the 259 million.
Not me, but if one on here did, he/she is a great person whom I have long admired, and consider the best poster ever and my absolute bestest friend.
I rarely buy lottery tickets, but whenever I do, I spent a few minutes thinking about what I would do with all the money. My mind wants to believe in the possibility, however remote it may be.
It's a life goal of mine to never pay off my student loans. Even if I happen to pick up a cool 259 mill.
You don't want to default on them because then they can garnish your wages and such. But with student loans, especially if they're of the federal variety, there are eleventeen hundred different tricks/procedures you can use to to pay very little per month, pay nothing at all for several months, etc. etc., and still remain in good standing. I paid off the private portion of my student loans pretty aggressively but the Fed portion....nah. I want to figure out a way to die at 75 owing the exact same amount I owe today which is the exact same amount I owed five years ago.
At some point along the way, I'm gonna try to pay them with a drawing of a spider. http://www.27bslash6.com/overdue.html
I'd wear my hand out from writing 25k and 50k checks to friends and family. Then, I'd start a year long journey of womanizing and cocaine to the backdrop of Manfred Mann's Blinded By the Light.
Go with Sister Christian instead. This is one of the best movie scenes ever. Ever ever!
That isn't the whole scene. Here is the rest of it.
