Pooch PM'd me a request to deactivate his account, and to change his avatar (ostensibly, he didn't care for the pic of Aunt Bee asking to be raped that someone chose for him). While he'll be missed, I felt no choice but to oblige his requests, post haste. As banishment is the last resort, I wanted to offer a more complete explanation of it's cause, if only assuage any concerns that PJ had (officially) joined the site, and that we had made him a mod. All the best to Roqstah, we hardly knew ye.

You know (and maybe 2-3 here will really appreciate this statement) - there are some who not only prefer, but NEED, the sanitary and protected environment which has been created on VN, and have no desire to participant in a no-holds-barred type of setting. That doesn't make either "bad", per se, but just an observation that what appears to be a method of constraint to some, is a safety net to others. Not sure that's the case here, but this just brought that to mind.
He's a 34/35 year old who by all indication is close to, if not ahead of, Sab for success, or lack thereof, in life. My guess is that message boards are the only places in the world where he isn't chosen last and because of it can't fathom a situation where he can't pretend he's awesome.
You know, for such a young site, this place already has a terrific start to some magnificent flame outs. Pooch, OWB, henderson...do we need some sort of hall of fame so that they can be remembered?
