I will riot if UT poaches Dr Carver. I don't even recall them giving him, a wonderful candidate, a sniff last time.
Running a business - and universities are specialized businesses at this point - is simple. People make it too complicated. State government meddling doesn't help.
I am conflicted. As a huge fan of firing, and you all know that, I am not sure what to think. It’s hard to know which decisions were hers. But I pray Fulmer goes down with a fight if frickin Haslam is pulling strings. I don’t trust anyone these days. But if she stepped up in the Currie fiasco, this blows. If she was a puppet, then who cares.
Remember Fulmer knows where the bones are buried and who are the good and bad guys. He said that for a very real reason during the Orange and White game interview.

Haha, no. There are enough places to delegate authority that it should run very, very smoothly with vigilant but mild oversight at a big state school. But there's so many chieftains wanting to be king it can't ever work. The only one who could really get a handle on this craziness would be the governor. In fact, that is where the buck stops, as far as I am concerned with UT.
I pity Bev a bit. I'm not saying she didn't deserve what she got or less or more. I wouldn't know what she truly deserved based on her record. I'm also not saying it shouldn't be a matter of public record, but I'd hate for my termination letter from some job to be out there on the twitters.
Dr. Joe just broke trust with every employee of the University... You don't publicly hang someone like that and inspire any sort of loyalty. What horrible [uck fay]ing leadership.
