Yep. I feel similarly about Louisville, although I think we’d beat them worse. I’d still love to see a depressed Michigan, or maybe even a top 15 Minnesota, but I think those ships have probably sailed. Not that I’m not going complain about any matchup if we made the Gator Bowl after starting 1-4

[uck fay] that noise, and that guy, specifically.

    Louisville would be Indiana 2.0

Absolutely agree with you on that. The other local show here is also saying lots of Music City Bowl chatter today for us too. That means the MCB people are getting word out I guess.

That's pretty lame, but I might actually be able to go if that's the case.

My guess is music City wants us.

I'm sure we'd rather go to Florida.

I want the 100% on paper possible Bama\UCF Liberty Bowl.

Also should be noted, Franklin American Mortgage is the sponsor of the Music City Bowl, and a program on Chad Withrows station.

Citrus gets first pick after New Year’s Six, then technically there are six bowls on the same tier that discuss amongst themselves to try to generate the best matchups. These are Outback, Gator, Belk, Texas, Music City, and Liberty. Of those, the Outback feels most prestigious (and has the highest-ranked opponent of any of those), but they’re all technically “SEC 3-8”

IIRC they were hoping to get either us or Kentucky. Not sure who else is fighting them over the two of us. I’m sure the Gator wants us back after the sea of Orange back in 2014

Music City means that I’ll for sure be there. It’s an hour from my house.

For 3-8 teams....the bowls submit their preferred teams to the SEC, and the teams do the same with the bowls.

Based on this input, the SEC then solely decides, based on many and unknown factors - including proximity, ticket sales, matchup, seasonal trajectory, and even previous team / bowl selections from the recent past matter as much - if not more - than merit.

back in the old days bowls gave bids and teams either turned them down or accepted.

"Athletic director" would be a much more hazardous profession as well.

I don't hate him, but he pulled a bush league move on Beech and acted like a scorned girlfriend after they told him to politely go get [uck fay]ed
