Agree. Even though it would put us in a better bowl, we don’t need UGA having any more momentum than they already have
Assuming Utah drops out of the top ten (and if they lose, there’s really no excuse for them to stay), it eliminates one of the teams that could take Auburn’s NY6 spot. We still need another (almost certainly Wisconsin because nobody else plays) to drop a few spots.
If all goes as I expect Fiesta - Ohio State and Oklahoma Peach - LSU and Clemson (Could swap those two games) Sugar - Georgia and Baylor Rose - Penn State and Oregon Orange - Florida and UVA Cotton - Memphis State and Auburn
I don’t think that’s unreasonable but I believe the Orange and Cotton would both choose based on CFP ranking, so it all comes down to whether or not Wisconsin falls below Florida/Auburn
Orange will take highest ranked SEC or B1G team versus highest ranked ACC. Only issue is if Auburn gets above Wiscy and Utah......
Does it make me a bad OSU-hater to kinda want 59-0 to send UT to the Outback Bowl? Can’t get too excited about either potential upset because they wouldn’t change the playoff picture in any way except seeding. The only games that matter are OU/Baylor and LSU/UGA
It’s actually kinda sad, the only realistic drama we could have would be between a 12-1 Big 12 champ, a 12-1 Georgia, and/or a 12-1 Clemson. But that requires Georgia to win, and I hope they get absolutely destroyed
