I saw this in HS football often. We had a guy on our team where it happened to him every other week. They'd just scoot it back in place, tape him up and ice it. He'd be back 2 weeks later and do it again. Granted, this was rural East TN.

EDIT: I didn't play HS football, even though it reads like I did. Just observed this whilst playing in the pep band. Flame on.

He's been a LB from day one here. I'm not even sure if he was in our three deep at LB though.

 

Hell, if I was a big guy on this team that wasn't getting much playing time, I'd be jumping all over this opportunity. Great chance to get on the field.

 

Ditto. People forget that Rivera was a "Who?" JUCO pick-up that wasn't supposed to be very good. Opportunity abounds.

 

You move a guy that's been injured for nearly three straight years to a position that can't stay healthy
