All begins tonight, in Sydney.
Hawaii is horrifically bad. If this game is even close dykes should be fired kiffin style and left in Australia
And get his passport first.
But how many players have ever ridden in a plane to Austrailia to play in an Aussie Rules stadium? I mean, no one in their right mind would expect a team to play well under those conditions.
And Hawaii is a helluva lot closer to Australia than California. And it is an island. So they are used to it already.
Prepare to lose, Droski.
Butch would bring up the language barrier as an excuse.
How can you expect those kids to play well while upside down?
toilet flushes reverse. how can you expect them to be ready to play with that in the back of their minds?
that said, I got Hawaii covering.
Honestly that would probably freak me out
i'm 80% sure cal covers. Hawaii legitimately might be the worst div 1a team in football. vandy probably covers that spread.
This is why we suck at everything:
A Cal spokesman said approximately 70,000 tickets have been sold for the Aug. 26 game against Hawaii at the 83,500-capacity ANZ Stadium, the first college football game to be played in Australia since BYU defeated Colorado State in 1987.
"Organizers two weeks ago said they were expecting a crowd in excess of 65,000, but on Friday an event official said only 45,000 had been sold.
Norm Chow: not even once.
You could pull a Cal freshmen out at random that could do a better job than that spokesperson.
chow ranks up there with Charlie weis at Kansas as all time terrible football hires.
they recently announced this was going to net $2 mil more than a home game against a div 1aa opponent. I sure hope that wasn't based on 70k
There's no reason to think that's true now.
Ref's were not wearing the coats and hats of the aussie rules refs. Disappointed.
I wanted them to do the finger bang instead of arm raise for every TD.
Vic Wharton plays for Cal now?
Separate names with a comma.
