They are actually trying to get the fan base to checkered Neyland Saturday! Hahahaha this is going to be a fail of epic proportions. This University is sooo out of touch it hurts. What an environment it's going to be with our mildly checkered crowd and our Egyptian belly dancer 3rd down song!!

This is probably the biggest home game left on the schedule. Not surprised they are marketing checker neyland for this one.
It should come as no surprise considering this is the 4th year in a row we've done this. Marketing just doing their job.
It's just going to look really, really bad IMO. Esecially if things go as expected and it looks like Bama 08 near the end of the game.
I can understand that point of view, but at the same time I don't blame them for doing it for this game either.

It's the only game worth doing it, and perhaps the only one where an opportunity exists to do it, from a participation standpoint. So, I get it, and don't blame them. But I think that malaise and apathy are so deeply ingrained at this point that it might look ok at the beginning, but if people start filing out en masse, it's going to look like actual shit, and that there are legitimate concerns that the optics of that will look and be even worse, if things go south. The potential for risk isn't worth the reward. I wish they would have just shelved the idea for this season, but maybe it works out.
