Chicago Cubs: Three Time World Series Champs

need to continue to Embrace the RISP and not the Suck

 

I remember thinking when Davis tied the game, already armed with the new knowledge of hard it it is to get to game 7 of the WS, how hard is was going to be to get back to the NLCS for a third time in a row, let alone back-to-back World Series.

And how bad this was going to hurt, with arguably the best Cubs team ever, to not get it done.

Well, this year makes me appreciate not having to worry about that shit, because they did win it all. It also makes me appreciate just how good that team was, and how good of a season they put together.

I didn't think the team's window is closed by any stretch of the imagination, but this year has been a real struggle so far. Can't imagine going through this after having been so close last year.

 

Guess Rizzo bats #1 now...

 

Pitchforks would be out right now if we didn't win game 7 last year.

But we did, and the Central sucks. Still, it's annoying.

 

Central is a big steaming pile of meh.

 

Game last night was cruising toward at 9:45 end time. Time it actually ended? 11.

 

One of the many reasons I cannot watch regular season baseball these days. Just don't have the time for it any longer.

 

Certainly could use something like last night in a place of play arguement.

Teams used a combined 13 pitchers.

 

Going to watch Cubs and Braves play in July in Atlanta.

 

Going to 5 Cubs games Inn July. Don't care if they last 4 hours.

Going to the night game, and then day game the following day in Atlanta.

I would have done that Tuesday/Wednesday thing had I not been going out of town the next week.

 

Going to a game pace of play doesn't really matter to me. It always goes by too quickly when you are sitting in the stands. Which is really how baseball was meant to be watched, anyway.
