It'd be awful if you had to just change the channel or turn off your TV.

What they ought to do is go after the entire corporation behind the show...

    That's satire, right? Surely.

It isn't. There are places rural places that have gone backwards in time. Salem witch trials are literally not out of the question.

I know I have a reputation of being a wild-eyed and crazy atheist who tries to proselytize, but it is a reaction to a segment of the population whose frighteningly superstitious beliefs has perhaps stayed below many mainstream folks' radar.

I guarantee I could find people like in the article in almost every state in the union.

Probably doesn't fit your narrative, but Topekas News is a make believe news site. Unless their expose on the giant Fukushima mutant dogs is real.

Perhaps, but there must be a sliver of truth for satire to work.

This site is a joke I think. Some real news with silly stories mixed in.

Nah. I just think it's fun.

Keep in mind, I'm a God-fearing Christian that's strong in my beliefs. I'm not a hippie heathenistic athiest like IP. If you can't laugh at yourself....

So it looks like this whole story line is fabricated. My bad.

It is sad that it is believable. If it wasn't written a way that made me suspicious then I'd have thought the Westboro Baptist Church was expanding membership. Those people exist to a degree in almost every ideology. Too bad they are a growing segment in this country.

Ya, but I'm a moron. I had seen the story multiple places, apparently it got picked up by "legit" media that didn't realize it was satire. Getting hard to know what is reliable.

Any Airplane! reference is a good thing.

The sad thing is, that this story is completely believable.
