If I see another meme/shared post claiming that this is all politics and using flu or H1N1 responses as the case study as why, I’m going to lose my mind. I’ll have to stop looking because I know they’ll keep coming.

Fda also changed some things recently in order to speed up the process. Hopefully they do the same with a cure or vaccine vs requiring years of studies and $.

Roche works hard to maintain a very solid relationship with the FDA and has already been laying the groundwork for speeding up these sorts of processes through a lot of its work with different cancer therapies.

Canceled is an interesting word. I would have bet 5 coconuts that it was spelled with 2 l's. Cancelled

Agreed. And anyone who plays politics with it should be shouted down.

If only Trump hadn't written all of those FDA policies that make it so difficult for companies to bring new tests/drugs to market, we would have had everyone tested by now!

Who is this woman speaking right now? Elizabeth Warren told me that no women were involved in this process.

Appears the lack of anticipation and cdc antiquated regulations are 2 main reasons for fewer tests available. Coulda seen it coming and asked the private sector to get involved earlier, but still I dont know how many people have had symptoms, a test requested by a doctor, but unable to be tested.

The private sector got involved with it as soon as they received the info from China that they needed in order to create the tests. The process for getting a test approved is not fast, easy, or cheap. That is why we haven't had testing available, not because it doesn't exist.

They also suggested that the testing moving forward will be more accurate than what some other countries are currently utilizing.
