Dan Skipper OL - 2012

Rivals seems to think he's going to switch from Tenn to Cal. Says he's real soft on his Tenn commit. Maybe Jones isn't interested in him? It's not as though he's a 5 star guy.

He's 6'10, but supposedly can move well.

 

Then why the hell isn't he playing basketball?

 

Might have been one of those package deals that Dooley set up and Jones didn't like Gilligan.

 

Kind of surprises me that an O line recruit wouldn't look at the O line situation with UT, all the guys about to graduate, and see a big opportunity.

 

well if you want to compare it with cal, if he's the real deal he'd start immediately. our oline is terrible.

 

Then maybe he's already looked at his future and making the right decision

 

Supposedly got an Ohio State offer as well. Watched some of his highlights. Got some good leverage and excellent quickness for a guy his height. Could put on 30 lbs without any issues. Would surprise me to see Jones hold on to him.

 

if he's strong it would be fun to watch him play left tackle .

 

His stock is blowing up. Got an offer from Oklahoma recently.

I dont see Tennessee keeping him although I'd love to see it. He's another 4* type prospect that these recruiting experts evaluated poorly. It's the same thing with Dylan Weismann IMO. I've seen him play all 4 years of high school up here and the kid is as good a guard prospect (even though he played tackle at Colerain) as you will find in this class. Great feet, great frame, great explosion off the ball, very physical and improved his technique and pass blocking dramatically in the past year.
