FSU & GA run a 3-4, Bellamy stated that he prefers DE in a 4-3 than OLB in a 3-4.
We're in good position.

 

Mike Farrell alluded to Butch Jones and Co. being very 'smart' in their method of recruiting. I would bet that the last two things they leave Bellamy with are 1) how miserable he will be as a 34 DE and 2) How he can be a play making 43 DE from the get-go at Tennessee.

 

He's a huge tweener when it comes to a 3-4 defense. I just dont see where he fits in that kind of defense. Not big enough for DE and IMO not built to be a Linebacker nor quick enough. He's a better fit in a 4-3. Pretty much the opposite is true for a guy like Jason Hatcher. He's a big-time tweener in a 4-3, way to short and small for DE and to slow for an OLB, but a perfect fit for a Linebacker in a 3-4.
