Well, lyls, Woody definitely did it. Don't know if he was first to do it but he was a special player. He flat wore NC State out in 2001 maybe? Joe Hamilton came close. Only had 750 rushing. Condredge not as close as I thought.
According to the imperfect wikipedia, he is the first to throw for 2,000 and run for a 1,000. 1,000/1,000 had to have been accomplished sooner I imagine. Tommy Frazier perhaps?
Who was the other DT QB after Dantzler? Seems like he was decent. Brad Smith at Mizzou was fun to watch.
A quick search shows that I was apparently imagining a player who didn't exist. Edit: After searching some more, I was thinking of Willie Simmons. Also enjoyed watching Ell Roberson at Kansas State.
The Around the Horn guys were pretty high on Michigan for the most part. ESPN in general seems to see the SEC's dominance as a "problem" to be solved. I don't think Alabama can blow them out, but I'd love it if they did. Of course, I like to see Alabama lose too so it is a win/win.
If he manages to walk away from the Bama game with all of his limbs, he could possibly put up the numbers in the Big 10.....but I don't see it
I don't think the Wolverines are much better than the Michigan State team Bama brutalized a couple of years ago. They are no us their best running back, have a QB that can't pass, and are going against the best defensive mind in the game. I think the second half will be really bad for UM.
