Dogs

Now one of ours has been kinda low activity for a couple days, with looser stools and then started vomiting last night

He’s done this before and been fine but now he’s refusing food which really concerns me because I don’t think he’s ever done that even when sick before

 

Hate to hear that. Hard for you not knowing what is going on

 

So, 24 hours later he’s still got some pretty gnarly diarrhea but the E-vet thinks it’s gastroenteritis and we are treating him symptomatically unless it worsens

But yeah he’s pretty much himself this morning aside from that. He also has his appetite back and appears to love his bland diet of rice and either boiled chicken or ground turkey.

 

Shuler is back to her psychotic self. We kept the cone on her when she went outside to keep her in the back yard and I’ll be damned if she didn’t figure out how to get it through the fence too.

 

I do wish I could have Shuler's sense of smell for just one day just to see what it's like. The way she will just sniff all over the most random things fascinates me.

 

Had to let my 15 year old beagle go last night. Had her since she was 6 weeks old.

Our doggo had a vestibular episode or stroke or some such last week. She could barely stand up when we woke up Monday morning. She slowly but surely got better and now she’s pretty much back to normal.

 

dogs are something else. We would be milking it for weeks.
