I know I would if I were him. Backs only have so many carries and he is getting beat up before he even gets to the damn LOS in this stupid scheme.
He's not. And if you would take Hurd over anyone of those guys, you're stupid. If you would take him over Dalvin Cook, you're a full blown retard. This is not even a debatable topic.
Thanks. I'd hire Dana Holgorsen as HC, though. As you know, he is the best coach in football and would more than make up for any personnel issues.
I sincerely believe that if Hurd played for LSU and received all of Fournette's carries so far this year, his stats would be at worst, marginally worse. I'm not saying he's as good Fournette. I'm not sure I even have a point, other than that its impossible to fairly evaluate Hurd compared to the other backs.
He's just as good as everyone not named Fournette in that group. Fournette is an AP level freak. Hurd's a half step slower than him
Hurd can do everything at least well. I don't think he'd have an issue lining up at FB, HB, or a split TE and being decent.
I can see what KB is saying about coming out in a class stacked at that position. So many things go into draft stock, and who knows what scouts are going to see in different guys. Even if it's a toss up after Fournette, he could still get picked much later than if he waited a year. He could still get picked 2nd as well, but is it worth the risk? There's also a risk to staying though, so it's an interesting thing to think about.
Yeah. I'd rather come out than risk a shredded knee or even just general wear and tear. These RBs typically have a small window. No sense wasting a year helping us get a thrilling close loss to Florida.
