USC's starting OC was out and that pretty much ruined the game for USC. Redshirt freshman playing against good, smart players on the DL, adding in that he had someone directly in front of him every snap is not a recipe for good things to happen.
I'm just saying they run straight downhill and control the clock. That's the exact opposite of most offenses in the PAC-12. You prepare for circus that is Oregon, ASU's off the wall O, Rich Rod's read option and then a 1980's I-formation offense. It tends to throw you off.
