Hard to punish the whole family because a kid doesn't do well in school. However, we could talk about parents getting some tech skill or something as a part of it.

I agree; plus what would you do about kids with learning disabilities. At the minimum is could be tied to attendance. Too many drop out.

We're starting to cook with gas. There must be SOME accountability.

How about changing the minimum wage from $7.25 per hour to $7.25 per hour and a box of condoms.

I laughed at your centrism. I assume you're saying it's far right to ask people to fend for themselves and their families.

    Not at all.

I'm all for people feeding themselves. I've never said otherwise.

I'm gonna follow IP's lead. I can't talk with you guys about this stuff.

My granny used to call rubber bands rubbers.

When I was a teenager, she told me to bring her a rubber, and I about hit the floor laughing under my breath.

That's what my grandfather called rubber boots. And soft drinks were dopes, paper bags pokes.

Oh I'm suggesting the govt fund food banks instead of food stamps

    Gotcha.

Kinda to ensure that food is what they get? If so, I'd roll with that all day long. There still should be some kind of public service involved.
