What does it matter, honestly?

 

I'm pretty sure I saw him pick 4-8 somewhere.

Until they dont.

I'm actually surprised he thinks they find 4 wins.

Whoa, that's different from what folks were saying last week. Somebody is going to look silly.

 

JG is our QB. He has more talent and has more years left.

 

I mentioned it was JG on @ page 3 or 4 and that hasnt changed,

Who did, on this forum? I don't think anyone,,if not smiff. Smiff made comments about guarantano getting injured for holding the ball, but never said he wouldn't start. For all the alleged competition, I just went back and everyone here thought it would be Guarantano since the Spring.

 

Not after I saw his release. JG could still blow it or hold onto the ball 1 too many times but we cant have a vertical game with Chryst and Heltons offense requires it.

 

Ya, I saw all that in your posts when I looked back. So I don't think anyone thought Chryst would start. I'm just surprised, because there is a competition narrative that doesn't seem to match what our collective eyeballs tell us.

 

I think we all pretty much agreed on JG starting.

Back when I first heard we were getting him I thought it would be Chryst, honestly. I'd never seen one moment of film on the guy, just thought he had to be better than Guarantano. Then, I finally did see him throw in practice...

 

Same. I figured 6'5 240 could sling it and run for yardage like Luck.
Then I saw him throw like I picture IP throws and had to bail.

There’s absolutely no reason Dormady should have started over Guarantano. Dormady was such ass.


Guarantano has plenty of talent. Helton has a lot to work with for 3 years.

 

I don't know about that. I bet Dormady does OK at Houston. He made some mistakes against Georgia Tech, but that was by far the best our offense looked all season. The next two games we still looked way, way better than we did from UMass on, at which point it was pretty much all Guarantano.
